The Fitness Thread !

Pretty noob in Gym stuff. I just intend to make my tummy flatter, currently its in very bad shape. I m a pure veg guy and not eating pav, normal bread - take only brown bread when eat sandwiches, potatoes nor much oil-ghee-butter-cheese. Eat out 4 times day breakfast with normal tea - gujju snacks, lunch of roti-sabji and dal-chawal + buttermilk a must, evening snacks include anything from snacks-fruits-biscuit, dinner normally has variety of food spanning all part of India. Daily I travel for almost 4 hours but in Mumbai trains only.

Not sure what exactly need to be in diet and exercise (thought of cycling for 25-30 min/day) for a flatter tummy and thighs. I do not want to build muscles but just being in shape and strength. However no time for Gym.

Also have read at many places building muscles and higher metabolism help in reducing weight. Correct me if I m wrong.

Any ideas/suggestions are most welcome. Small workouts for 40-45 mins/day will do.

P.S.: Some info
Height: 5'6"
Weight: must be around 80
Waist: 36-37
Profession: Student - almost seat for whole day in college and stand in trains :p
 
is there any nice equipments to work for abs only, i had already placed high stakes with one of my friend for 2014 vacation :D

@pradeep200417 , i am just 5'6'' , and weighs 60~~, my tummy is almost flat, with little bit fat due to 1 kg cashew nut which i had engulfed last month :D

is it possible that i can make a visible abs just by doing crunches ??

at present, i do cycling daily 6-7km, since a long time :)

Keep cycling itself, but increase the pace and distance to 10km at least. Try to sprint with cycle for 1km and then slow down for the next and keep cycling like that (pun intended).

No, just by doing crunches u wont get abs. Try Progressive Leg Raises. They are good.
You should try sprinting as well. Hill Sprint if you can.

SO I was searching for relatively cheap dumbells and this all I get in the market ->
Why cant they just paint them black or something. Look like shit. Can i just get them painted black or somthing? They cost 22 per POUND. Can anyone check around sport shops in their city?

What paint to use? :p The guy said that green shit is somethign called haemadol. I dont know if he was just bull crapping me, but I thought it was just primer or something to protect the cast iron.

No clue about the paint. Seriously, there is no difference between between green plates, chrome plates, rubber plates unless you are gonna drop them on the floor a lot.
