Advice needed for buying Portable USB HDD

I am in need to buy external HDD . So which is best Brand to get?

There is no such thing as a best brand. Buy whatever that fits your budget out of Transcend, Seagate Freeagent, iomega, WD Passport etc. Most portable drives either use a Seagate/Samsung/WD 2.5" 5400 rpm drive with a fairly decent SATA controller. And ships with a 3 year warranty.

I would pick Seagate for external HDD. Second choice would be Western Digital.
