Friend misplaced the ipad cable :(

So a good friend of mine was coming over from the US and i asked him to bring me back an ipad. Now being a little skeptic about warranty he asked the salesperson in the store to open it up and check it for him as he was to bring that back to India. The sales person checked it and packed it for him.

Upon reaching home he realized that he has managed to misplace the cable in the store. It was pretty late in the night when he realized this. Now his flight is early hours of the next day so wont be able to make it back to the store.

He called me back in the morning to confirm that weather i would be able to get the cable here for a decent price or not.

You mean the USB data cable? Isn't it same as the iPod or iPhone data cable?

Incase its the same as that of an iPod/ iPhone you can get it for 300-350 bucks on Ebay . They look like the genuine\original one and not some cheaper chinese cable.

Yea I have used the iPad with a Chinese cable as well , works fine ..

Switch don't fret.. It's the same USB cable as the iPod/iPhone. Just walk into any Apple store and pick one up!

P.S. - I SO envy you though!
