However, In case of RMA, you have the send the card to him only in Mumbai & also bear the expenses for sending the Card to USA & back

^You can do the RMA yourself as well.

Speedpost has some decent rates compared to DHL and FedEx which charges exorbitantly high rates even for documents.

For US, assuming the box's gross weight comes to 3KG inclusive of the bubble wrapping, it comes to 475 + 75*11, which's 1300 INR. That's very fair IMO. Just ensure that they return back the shipment through a reputed service such as DHL, UPS or FedEx which can be done if you request the CC politely and have them asked to mark the shipment as an RMA so that it bears no customs duties.

I dont think the RMA agency will ship the card back to India after repair/ Replacement at their own cost.

They may ask you to give a local USA address as the card was sold locally

Moreover, I dont think the original purchase details are given to the buyer by KMD as he has to do the RMA in case of any problem, but of course I have no practical experience.

I also understand that KTM does not charge exorbitantly for RMA postage & is quite reasonable as he is able to combine several items in a shipment

^Which is why one has to contact them and ask them if it can be done. And what if the person claims that he has relocated to India? If the company demands customer patronage, they better be doing that.

In any case, I speak with personal experience w.r.t G.Skill RAM sticks I recently RMA'd from the Taiwan office for 183 INR thru Regd. Post.

I have personal experience with KMD for warranty and trust me its great, safe and doesnt cost much ...

and US guys gives excellent warranty and usally sends a better card back again so all in all this deal is great ...

sad i dont hv enough dough to buy this ... still m happy with my 4870
