I have a 1tb FreeAgent from Seagate. Now the adapter provided with the drive isnt working.I thought of RMA'ing but before doing that i thought i would check the warranty on this drive from here . Now the problem is that after entering the drive details i am getting this message

That means its not accepting the part number written on the drive . So to solve the problem i ran DiscDetect exe provided by Seagate. This is the information i got from it

So i put the part number as FreeAgent and i am still getting the same Error as when i put the Part number as 9zc2ag-501(which is written on the drive).

So now how do i ascertain the warranty of this drive?

Warranty information comes with the Part Number 9zb2mg-571. Stupid Seagate people :mad:

 
I cant see what is written on the first pic.. .the image is too small :p

Enter this as the model no ST310005FDA2E1 or ST310005FDA2E1-RK and then the serial no.
 
check product package and check its import date.If its official seagate india product then please call seagAte India toll freE number ,they will help you to solve the issue .DONT WAIT mORE.
