TV Tuner card suggestions?

Hello fellas,

I need a TV Tuner card.

Features required -

- Audio out via 3.5mm jack required as I will be using my Lansing speakers.
- Very good picture quality, I know it is all dependent on cable quality but still card should not degrade it further atleast.NO dropped frames at all.
- Ability to capture the stream with audio on to PC.
- Which one is better internal or external? Pros and cons of both please?
- Not absolutely must, but if it works on Linux too, it will be a big plus.
- Will be used with cable for now and may be DTH connection post October.

Suggestions?

PS:- I have never used a cable connection or a DTH connection in my life. Strange but yes. So let me throw a rookie query out in open - Can a TV Tuner card be connected to a normal Cable and a DTH connection later? I mean they both have similar connections I hope.

I cant suggest u any model as such...but u can go for mid range hauuppage or leadtek...these are two very good brands and so is avermedia...check this site...it has list of tv tuners...with price nd some brief details...hope it helps
TV-Tuners

Internal : Good for recording....works better...because takes power frm the pci slot...pcie slot...etc
Cons : The pc needs to be on all the time...nd in very rare cases ...the recordings has sound frm d cabinet..
External : Need not on pc for viewin tv...for recording u hv to obviously
Cons : A little expensive nd less efficient because its powerd to usb port nd usb has its own limitatiions but nevertheless today there are some good performin tv tuners which work flawlessly even wid usb 2.0

- Will be used with cable for now and may be DTH connection post October.

Any tv tuner which has multiple inputs...like rca for coxial cable and component for the dth stb...most of the tv tuners hav multiple inputs ...so this wont be a problem
