This is what we've frozen on, looking to pick it up next week. He has an existing 24" monitor, so don't need one at the moment. CPU: Decided against the K model as there's not going to be any OC'ing MBD: H170 instead of a Z170 as there really won't be any OC'ing. Decided on the Pro Gamer version as opposed to the regular Pro version as some people mentioned that the quality of components is a little better with the Gamer editions. RAM: I figured if he needs more, he can but two more sticks to push it up to 32 later GFX: The 960 seemed more bang for buck compared to the 970 in terms of Price vs Performance CAS: It's down to CM K380 or the Corsair SPEC03 PSU: CM600w - any good? Let me know what you guys think and if any edits should be made. The board and Processor alone come up to a little over 40k. Is it worth it, or would a previous generation do? All the Haswell chips I see on eBay are pretty much the same price. Never really thought about a Hackintosh option, but that sounds cool. Would it work with the above?
