Narayana Murthy says Indian youth should work 70 hours a week

I think different people have different meaning from what Murthy said. To me it sounds the the age old grumpy old man speak - Today's youth doesn't want to work hard. They should spend X number of hours if they want to succeed. That is also paraded along with see I works for X+4-5 hrs. (which...

    Courier Service Feedback

You shouldn't use them even for customer delivery - if you like your customers and want them to get the product on time. It just amazes me how do businesses not see an issue with Ekart, XpressBees or Delhivery behavior of providing incorrect updates? XpressBees is so bad that now their alerts...

YouTube tests disabling videos for people using ad blockers

I have to use Chrome sparingly because the Google docs experience on Firefox is broken. The in-built copy paste is a js and it just doesn't work on FF. Thinking of getting Ungoogled Chromium instead: https://github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium-windows

YouTube tests disabling videos for people using ad blockers

You are correct. For some reason it was detecting adblock on Firefox but not on Chrome. I am using ublock on both so it seems the filter list wasn't updated on Firefox. But then this is a cat and mouse game trying to check if the filters are updated is tiring. The only issue I had with...

YouTube tests disabling videos for people using ad blockers

As I like the Youtube search much better than Invidious, I turned off the extension and behold got 3 strikes. so, now the account is banned, at least on Firefox. But works on Chrome. It is full time extension from here on out.

    Flipkart - Feedback Thread

Not the same but got fridge from Reliance Digital and boy did they mess it up. Box was opened to see broken hinges and RD took a long time to refund. At the end of the day, unless it is an open box delivery I am not buying any house hold appliance online. If there is no open box I'd rather buy...

Budget Above 40k Replacement for OnePlus Nord

Bought S23 8/256 for 54k. Thanks to @samiryadav for pointing out the corportate discount though ended up buying from Amazon instead due to shipping issues with Samsung Shop and easy exchange and superior exchange value on Amazon.

2023 Festive season online shopping feedback?

I thought I'll update this thread. Samsung cancelled the order after much follows yesterday morning. Ordered from Amazon and they outdid themselves. Delivering the phone in record 5 hrs.

Budget 10-15K Good battery backup, nice screen 5g phone for an elderly especially for media consumption... Clutter free

You know Adaway DNS can do nearly the same on Android. And you get TrueCaller and call Recording too.

2023 Festive season online shopping feedback?

I am sure many of us have bought stuff online during this festive season. For me Amazon has been good so far. Curious to know how has everyone's experience been so far? 1. Amazon - Good offers (not as great as last year). Bought lots of stuff. Delivery has also been prompt and fast. Just two...

    Courier Service Feedback

From my experience: Fedex and Amazon? (I think they use internal service) - Best out of the lot. 95% on time. Bludart - Plays football with packages - every center says "incorrect pin, might impact delivery". All this while I know for a fact that the pincode is correct. They are still mostly on...

    Flipkart - Feedback Thread

Flipkart has become a dumpster fire. Unless absolutely necessary I don't buy from them. I had received 500rs gift card from my employer so thought of utilizing it. Found a product and even though the price is same Amazon, they were asking 10rs for facilitating "best deal". As I had coupon I...

Swiggy also has "platform fees" on every order. So, you pay for subscription + increased price for food (you can compare prices in restaurant vs Swiggy) + platform fees and cherry on top - see ads. You don't need an app. Just look at my previous post. There is an alternative frontend for YT...

YouTube tests disabling videos for people using ad blockers

Basically priming up to show more. Though for anyone who wants an ad, banner and Google free check out my previous post. There are alternative front ends to Youtube, twitter etc. I normally prefer those unless I need something which needs the actual frontend.
