So I got out of Pune before the lockdown and I put a bunch of my stuff with a friend. It includes my TV, soundbar, nintendo switch and more. Now I am looking to find a good and safe way to transfer all those things to Kerala. I am, of course, most worried about the TV. If anyone has any...

Internet stops working when I connect my 2nd laptop

It'll be worth it I think. The DDR5 will be way more future proof! Also... Look at the eBay US deals. You might get one in your budget. There was a DS71 being sold for 799$ not long before

Laptops Buying Asus GL552JX laptop from Ebay for 55k

This thread has really grown! O_O I really need to get internet! And yea... The HD is 7200rpm. Just checked. And Alias_01, other than a RAM upgrade, it is probably one of the better options out there at this price point. Go for it.

Storage Solutions Recommend a 4/8 GB pen drive (small form factor) to host a bootable Linux OS

Any pendrive should work. Though make sure it is 8GB and not a 4GB one. I too use a Sandisk Crizer. They are well built pieces unlike some of the stuff out there.

Go for the Asus. (128GB SSD, 16GB RAM and the IPS display is definitely worth it.)
