Which SSD will fit my laptop?

Depends on the laptop though. If you don't have a M.2 slot you'll only have SATA 2.5 inch SSD options left open for you. Can you share your exact model number. I can look up the details and then give you a recommendation. P.S. I have been using Samsung SSDs exclusively since 2013 and they hold...

Raspberry Pi based always on torrent box

Thanks a lot mate. I just took the plunge and ordered a RPi 3B+ kit https://www.amazon.in/dp/B07C6XQ3HP/?coliid=I8TOPIBQ77XFL&colid=3D1ROZO1APM6W&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it Now waiting for the weekend to experiment with it.

Raspberry Pi based always on torrent box

I could get transmission to work on my WSL as an experiment but failed to get flexget to run with RSS feed rules to filter out specific uploads. So thats why I am thinking og going the NUC route. Should be a bit more expensive but 15k should cover all of it including a Windows 10 Pro license off...

The New Flagship: Ryzen 9 3950X

I guess their plan is to milk the high end early adopter crowd to go for X570. As for the rest of us AMD knows that we have no need for nvme PCIE Gen4 RAID and we will buy X470/B450 boards. So from their PoV why bother? Seems like AMD has won a lottery with Intel facing so many issues with...

Raspberry Pi based always on torrent box

What torrent client are you using? Also do you have RSS feeds setup? I am now thinking a cheapo NUC kit would be better if ease of use is paramount as the compute stick has overheating issues on long usage.

Raspberry Pi based always on torrent box

I tried experimenting with deluge on Windows Linux subsystem but getting YaRSS2 plugin to work turned out to be a pain in the arse. I am planning to get this kit with a 32/64 GB USB pen drive as the scratch storage for downloading the files...

Raspberry Pi based always on torrent box

Hi Guys, Just came to figure out the beauty of RSS feeds(too damn late.......I know :() and automating torrent downloads. Now I have a dedicated headless mini-ITX box in a CM Elite 130 chassis running full Windows 10 Pro on a config of fanless Intel J2405 quad core...

The New Flagship: Ryzen 9 3950X

Looks like B550 will be late to the party to push the X570 boards. https://www.techpowerup.com/256547/asmedia-sourced-amd-b550-a520-chipset-motherboards-arrive-in-2020

The New Flagship: Ryzen 9 3950X

Yes you're right. But it ain't for us air/AIO cooler people.Heck I dunno if we'll even see a 3950X bonkers build here in this forum with the way user activity has been dropping off a cliff lately. From the news itself- Obviously, we need to fire off a disclaimer, as we do not know at what...

Quick question @Chaos and @vishalrao what coolers are you guys using on your Ryzen chips?

The New Flagship: Ryzen 9 3950X

Keep in mind though that the 3000G series APUs are built on Zen+ architecture i.e. the same as the Ryzen 2000 series CPUs. The only advantage over the Ryzen 3000 series are the inbuilt GPUs on Vega 11 architecture. AFAIK Zen APU and laptop CPUs are one architectural generation behind the main...

The New Flagship: Ryzen 9 3950X

Ahh the Buildzoid the VRM fanboy. In fact I checked his video to ensure that the Asus C6H is good enough for the 3900X. As for Roman I usually watch the GN collaborations as his hardcore LN2 OC stuff goes over my head.

Where can I purchase cigarettes online?

I used to be the same as you. Since I started working in 2010 and was not dependent on pocket money anymore my usage of Gold Flake Kings (not lights) was a 20 pack everyday for the past 9 years or so. Use this kit linked below and you will not feel like smoking anymore. MTL Kit...

The New Flagship: Ryzen 9 3950X

Yeah their quality went down the gutter after Anand Lal Shimpi left for Intel. Nowadays I find guru3d and GamersNexus on Youtube the most technically proficient reviewers in the game. https://www.guru3d.com/ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChIs72whgZI9w6d6FhwGGHA

https://www.techpowerup.com/256443/alleged-asus-amd-x570-motherboard-price-list-paints-a-horror-story Just like what I said. Thanks to @Chaos for pushing me to buy the Crosshair VI Hero which should be good enough for the 3900X

Where can I purchase cigarettes online?

When I used to smoke (till last Oct 2018) or so I had a setup with a pan shop outside my office. Every 10 days I used to pick up a Gold Flake Kings 10x20 pack carton. If you are lazy about that I suggest you switch to vaping which I did last year and never looked back...

The New Flagship: Ryzen 9 3950X

I think they might be a bit late as AMD has the better position in the market right now and being a public company will definitely try to milk the market for what it's worth. AFAIK their share price is up 24%. From their PoV I think AMD is expecting users to use B450/X470 motherboards for the...

The New Flagship: Ryzen 9 3950X

Good idea. The PCIE 4.0 features are mostly not worth it for us Indian consumers now. Very few of us have PCIE 4.0 nvme RAID setups and our GPUs do not even saturate PCIE 3.0. Only real world thing that X570 might have a leg up over 3xx/4xx series chipsets is better memory overclocking since...

The New Flagship: Ryzen 9 3950X

I am sceptical about the real world power draw. Like I said the 9900K is rated at 95W TDP but pulls much more even at stock clocks which caused a bit of a noise in the tech community with Intel's rating process...

The New Flagship: Ryzen 9 3950X

Or they might be taking a page out of Intel's book with the TDP ratings (95W 9900K anyone) and I am sceptical about the 105W rating for the 12 core as well.
