Looking for a home UPS that is smart

Blowing directly on inverter battery means more dust on them, unless you use a filter. Not sure how effective inline fans are, there are good ones but are expensive. The inverter internal temperature can reach close to 50C, so the warm air will be about equal to desktop PC with a graphics card...

Looking for a home UPS that is smart

So you want to put the inverter and lock the door, well what about heat build up, those flins will be blowing some hot air, mainly during power failure and running via solar. I am going to use the second fan to suck the hot air of inverter and gas outside of the house. If you go the fan...

Looking for a home UPS that is smart

My stair case is internal so it's closed but right next to that window there is a also the entrance door to the stairs which leads to the top floor. The area underneath the stair doesn't have any cover, if thats what you ask. I could have covered it with wood but like I said battery maintenance...

Looking for a home UPS that is smart

In my case the stair crawl space area is on the ground floor, I did think of putting the batteries in the extreme corner of that crawl space under the stairs but doing so will make it difficult to do maintenance on batteries, In that crawl space try breathing during the maintenance with battery...

Looking for a home UPS that is smart

The problem with no box is very simple, In India it's very dusty, dust will settle on the petroleum jelly and when filling distill water its PIA to clean the dust off, of the vents and when you do try to dust it off one has to be extremely careful since the plastic would have now become brittle...

    best ceiling fans?

That's definitely a Ad post, since not a single product in their catalogue is a energy efficient fan, every fan in their catalog consume around 70 to 80w+. I bet you could buy a half dozen BLDC fans for the price of one of their fans.

Looking for a home UPS that is smart

I saw his design a while back. But for the passive design to work lots of piping needs to be done. That pdf also says to use thermaly conductive pipes and copper is expensive, Every seal including the wire holes have to be sealed properly. With a active system, you just need two holes with one...

Looking for a home UPS that is smart

It will work not the most efficient though for the price. Plenty of EC fan 90 to 120mm but with 38mm depth Pc style fans in aliexpress. In India you do get a chinese rebadged fan with lower RPM like this http://www.maa-ku.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=66&product_id=55

Looking for a home UPS that is smart

Ac motors come in brushed form also, I said Brushless DC motors in this context( a Ac input first convert to DC and then convert it back to AC). There is also a EC exhaust fan with the electronics so tiny that it doesn't look any different from a regular PC fan, but works on Ac and is...

Looking for a home UPS that is smart

It doesn't look like it's brushless DC, more like a induction motor. A bldc motor will have permanent magnets and will cost much more. A brushless motor will put out a lot more airflow or consume lesser watts for the same air flow compared to the above specs.

Has AC energy efficiency increased drastically in the last decade?

It was the daikin jtkm series now replaced by jtkj series. http://daikinacsolutionsplaza.com/daikin-jtkm50srv16-1.5-ton-inverter-5-star-split-air-conditioner-prices.html I was looking at mitsibushi heavy srk13yvs-w6 ,1 ton, 5.9 iseer for downstair room, no one has them in stock, same for the...

Which Bosch/Siemens washing machine for 35000/-

Turbo wash is said to reduce the time by half. Yes you can disable it. I need the pressure pump not just for washing machine but for when I install solar water heater, the solar tank height may be higher then my house tank. Don't want to add another tank as it will cause shade, in my future...

Has AC energy efficiency increased drastically in the last decade?

It makes sense to go for the most efficient machine at the time of purchase. Electricity prices are only going up and glad I bought a 5 sta 1.5ton daikin with ISEER 5.2 ac back in 2017. Bescom keeps increasing the prices(another 39paisa/unit increase incl tax from next month) and even after...

Which Bosch/Siemens washing machine for 35000/-

blr_p The turbo wash (water sprayed directly at cloths) function never worked in my new LG and I guess that's due to the only 9 feet or so, tank distance from the machine inlet. I am thinking of adding a pressure booster pump with a 24l to 50l air filled tank, that way the pump doesn't have to...

    Refrigerator energy consumption

While I have not timed the defrost time, I can safely say its more then 20min, varies from summer to winter.

    Refrigerator energy consumption

That's a big fridge, I guess no stainless steel color options available. White and stainless steel hide finger prints better. You need to check the real time power consumption during the defrost cycle, which will be higher, those heating coils are still ancient. Your fridge is certainly...

Has AC energy efficiency increased drastically in the last decade?

The star stop times of the compressor varies based on set temperature amd ambient temperature (both outdoor and indoor air). But when it does start it's going to consume more power like 10x for 2 seconds or more vs a bldc motor of the inverter AC which has no inrush current and even when it's...

Has AC energy efficiency increased drastically in the last decade?

Yes your window AC is really inefficient. Even a modern inverter window AC is not as efficient as a inverter split ac. My 1.5 ton Daikin 5 star ISEER 5.2 AC, once it reaches the desire temperature set between 24 to 26c, it consumes as low as 240 to 280 watts late at night or early morning...
