What random purchase of yours do you consider your best and why?

I guess my impulse dual purchase back in 2010 of the HTC HD7 windows 7 phone and the Nokia N900 linux "superphone" which was my first foray into the smartphone world. Fond memories of those devices which are now sitting idle in a drawer somewhere in the house.

Use TP-Link XC220-G3v for Timbl instead of TurboFi after MAC Clone

I'm far from a network geek lol but first thing comes to mind is reducing MTU number from 1480 to say 1400 and other 2 things to try are disable ipv6 checkbox and disable full cone nat option. Other things to try look at the DHCP server settings for the DNS options set to 8888 and 8844 so that...

Rate the Last Movie You Saw...

Oppenheimer is a very good movie. Once again Nolan not trying to be a wannabe David Fincher or something with his convoluted plot lines and twists a la Inception/Tenet etc. The movie/storyline stands on its own merit especially with a wide ensemble cast, almost as if it doesn't matter who the...

    Which Refrigerator to Buy?

I'm thinking about getting (any inputs you folks have?) this direct from LG website (cheaper than FK) to replace my current 10+ year old LG which is about the same size/capacity and wanted to play with the ThinQ smart features lol ->...

    Fibre router ONT bridge mode

I think you need to elaborate/explain more clearly - unable to understand your question(s) and cannot make suggestions without making (possibly incorrect) assumptions. Try explaining/providing more info like what is/are your ISP(s)? What gpon router(s) model(s) you have? What other(?) 2 routers...

    Jio Airfiber

And yep it's back down to 100 now  At least I caught it while it was glitching and it shows 1gbit is feasible (at least technically) on my installation/location, nevermind tower congestion during busy hours etc.

Dafuq! I got the connection a couple of weeks ago with 100 mbps plan 899 and it was okay-ish. Today, just now tried a speedtest and got this result w00t! Anyone know what's going on? https://www.speedtest.net/result/16046631666

Tata's Dholera semiconductor plant may roll out India's first indigenous chip by 2026

If it's only packaging why are they only at 28nm? (Unless I'm missing something) They can very well package the cutting edge nodes, right? (like 3nm and smaller, etc)

Devin, the first AI software engineer

I don't think anyone (not even the "pundits") has any real sense of what impact AI will have (at least on jobs) a few years down the line. At least for sure it will be "disruptive" but to what extent depends on how people react, whether they sit back and let themselves be affected or be...

    Jio Airfiber

OK, it seems not possible in router web UI nor the MyJio app BUT BUT BUT in the Jio website if you login to your account and go to the WiFi section of device settings there it has an option to set SSID name and also disable the 2.4 and 5 ghz radios and it shows a message "it will take some time"...

Yeah mostly getting close to 100 mbps up and down everywhere from whatever minimal testing I've done so far.... I wanted 300 mbps plan but not available for now. Packet loss is a bit high though , 5 to 10 % but I don't do gaming, only videoconferencing should be able to handle it... I'm...
