I think ATI has got the best GPU lineup at the moment, its better if you could extend the budget and go for ATI Radeon 5670.

No, absolutely not. The more you spend the better card you get. Today, you can find graphic cards from 2k to 40k and their performance varies accordingly.

Re: 790fx or nvidia 980a sli. with ph 965 I would opt for 790 FX, however also check out AMD’s 890GX Chipset. I have read few reviews and this chipset is a great buy.

This is pretty impressive for someone new… you have already running the processor at 3 GHz, what kind of cooling did you employ..? I Guess if you further reduce the temp, you can reach 3.1-3.2 Ghz. But be careful, overclocking voids your warranty.:)

+1 for Anubis’s suggestion. AMD platform makes more sense in that price range. I’d suggest getting the Cooler Master Elite 335 with SMPS instead of the Zebronics one and be immune to cabinet and power issues.
