well if you aren't gonna overclock i suggest you go with the i7 860. it performs the same as an i7 920 but it consumes a lot less power. its available on the p55 chipset. the only disadvantage is you will have dual channel memory instead of triple channel on the i7. shame you wont be...

well a video card wont actually help in increasing your render times since most render engines like mental ray, and vray use the processor for rendering. videocards are only helpful during real-time performance i.e- when you are working in a viewport.

have been waiting for a month to get my hands on the i7 930. i hope they overclock well as the DO stepping of the 920s.
