I know its late, but just in case if some one has same problem. You can still play the old games while logging into your Australian PSN account. Just create a US account and set it as your primary for PS4. Then login to you Australia account and play all games (US+Aus).

Yes, I agree about games being same but two important things 1. PS+ subscriptions can be bought heavily discounted for US compared to India 2. I can't purchase (games) on Indian store due to payment issues so no point getting the PS+ Hence the question.

Unlikely, as The Slim has already launched to replace the old PS4, so whatever price cuts have to happen would have happened now. Pro is a different price point. Although price may be cut if Xbox one S sale trounces Slim but that (price cut) will not happen soon.
