Bought the laptop in March this year , and removed the HDD from it. It's in brand new condition . Local buyers only.

Ghatkopar,Mumbai. There is no warranty as it was taken out from the laptop. When I put the serial number on the WD site I get this -[DOUBLEPOST=1511429148][/DOUBLEPOST]Bump

Laptop manufacturer ? Maybe if you can talk to them, ask like , say if HDD goes out, can you remove the HDD for RMA from Laptop maker.
 
So to claim warranty the hdd needs to be shipped to you, insert it and send laptop to service center to get it replaced. Headache!
