4k TV buying advice please

Hey all, quick question! i'm going to purchase the TV this Deepawali and some offers are going on. LG C9 is for 1.4 + 10k cash back and Samsung Q80r is for 1.3 +7-10k cashback
Which one would be better Samsung q80r or Lg C9?
I'm also in similar confusion... Is the c9 price with soundbar or without?

Can you answer the question in the post #39 ?
If you are asking me then!
Purpose: For playing games and watching movies in Netflix/Prime and very rarely DTH
TV will be placed in naturally well lit Hall. Main usage is in night!

Pricing without Soundbar (its from LG). Still thinking to take 5.1 Soundbar or normal 5.1 channel speakers

Is Samsung Q90r available in India? forgot to ask yesterday with the salesperson!

C9 comes with three years warranty, even Q80R too i guess. So i'm not sure whether extended warranty is worth at all?
That warranty is tricky one!
Samsung:
10years warranty is on Burn In only - Which is never going to happen, 3 years on panel + chipset/board
-- Adding 1 year extended warranty here will become 4 years in total.

LG:
3years they say but on breaking it down!!! - 1 year entire set and 2nd and 3rd year only for the display/panel not on chipset/board
--- And for this taking extended warranty (lets say for example 1 year) gets added from 2nd year - Now total warranty is for first two years and 3rd year only panel!

- LG's extended warranty is very bad! as there LG's complete cover is for only one year!!!!

You're still not answering the question. I get that you do both from the opener but not the spread.

So which do you do more of ? play games or watch movies.

Format to answer : games x% movies y%

Games: 30% & Movies + Series: 70%

Thank you everyone helping me decide which tv to go for.

I have decided to buy LG C9 itself..
Should I go for extended warranty? 1 year from Reliance Digital costs 14k and 2 years cost 24k and 32k for 3rd year!
But the extended warranty starts from 2nd year as LG fails to cover entire tv from 2nd year.

2nd and 3rd year also covers panel and other parts... Only labour charges we need to pay.
So extended warranty begins at the start of year 2 or year 4. I'm confused.

I'm not a fan of extended warranties to begin with.

It's like playing in a casino.

If the shop is recommending it then it means the house bets nothing will happen.

Customer is betting something will happen.

House always wins in the end

If the warranty begins at the start of year 2 then you're paying for labour.

14k to 24k just for labour for years 2 & 3 is exorbitant !! I doubt labour will be more than 10k

But then there is that 3rd year for 32 k. Now warranty covers parts & labour. What part can break that costs 22k ?

Screen won't fail so soon. Not completely.

You should be in Las Vegas or Miami.

It is not extended warranty which we get separate from the seller. LG gives 1(comprehensive) + 2(labour chargeable) years warranty as part of Diwali offer.
Right, so LG gives you three years.

The question is when does the extended warranty begin? at which year of ownership ?

I dont have idea on that. @Grim mentioned that LG provides warranty for panel only on 2nd and 3rd year. So i responded him saying, LG will provide warranty for all the parts except labor changes on 2nd and 3rd year.

3 Year Complete Warranty means 1 year comprehensive warranty available with all new TVs plus 2nd & 3rd year additional warranty on all parts of TV including panel /module governed by mentioned terms and conditions as: This extended warranty offer is valid in Pan India, This extended warranty offer is applicable on purchase of size 80cm (32) and above LG TV from selected authorized dealers/distributors/LG brand shops. This offer entitles the customer to enjoy free of cost 2 year additional (over and above the existing warranty policy) functional warranty for all parts including panels/module, and labour charges to be borne by consumers. Rest other terms and condition same as original product warranty card. Offer applicable from 28th Sep’19 ~ 31st Oct’19.

I checked with another Reliance digital and they confirmed that 3 years complete warranty is provided by LG itself. And extended warranty taken will start from the 4th year depending on the number of years of extension.

I finally and successfully purchased LG C9 from Reliance digital. Getting it delivered on next Sunday. Got it for 125k without lg sound bar. (+ 7.5k Cashback for hdfc cc + 3k from reliance digital)
So if Novice level review is required do let me know.

Better confirm this yourself by looking at the terms. Are the terms online any where ?

What is the dead line to pick up an extended warranty

image retention and pixel burn is very much their. do run pixel refresher regularly.thats all my own experience taught me.
