Video Amazon Fire / Android TV: Youtube playback problem for certain Videos

Hi All,

Calling Amazon Fire TV / Android TV users for help. Since last week, whenever I try to play certain videos using either Fire TV stick or nVidia Shield TV I get a message that the uploader has not allowed the video for playback in your country (I do not remember the exact message). I can play the same videos on mobile with the same ISP (ACT in my case) with no problems. Is there any solution?

The videos I am referring to are: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=etv+jabardasth

Please search for ETV Jabardasth in your Fire TV Firefox Youtube.

Thanks a lot for all those who are willing to report back the results.

Why would I need VPN? I can play the same videos on my mobile and laptop using the same Wan IP.

I was able to play those videos until a week ago.

How do I check WAN IP? The IP I see are LAN IPs.

Also, it is highly unlikely that both Fire TV and Shield will get proxied on the same day.
