CPU/Mobo AMD Athlon XP 2400

Guys I have AMD Athlon XP 2400+ CPU and I wanted to Overclock it and all that...
did it from the Bios and it is working OK
But What I wanted to know is that...

Is there any Software which will Give me all the details of the Processor and what it is doing and all that?

Like ya know some Programme to control the processor?
 
You can use CPU Z to know the full details abt your system like CPU speed, RAM speed and timings, etc.....

But you cannot control the settings through a software(there is aA64 Tweaker which as the name says is only for AMD 64 ) and even if there is a software like that, it is not recommended.... the best way to oc you CPU is to use the BIOS for all settings ,like CPU speed, voltage, RAM speed, timings, etc.....

Hi,

Well,CPU-Z is the best software to know ur CPU,but another very popular software u can try is the everest/AIDA32...it available for download at www.lavalys.com ..it only gives details regarding ur CPU,but gives detailed info regarding other system components as well
 
there is a software clockgen as told by nikhil which will let you control and overclock your CPU from windows.

but i dont like it. I still prefer doing it from the bios.

But this tool works prperly. Give it a try.

i used clockgen to touch 2.53GHz :)

Boot at 225FSB, use clockgen.....
