A: 22K I was basically looking for cheapest android device which has 4inch screen but increased budget as dell venue is running froyo with virtually no custom roms. If there is any other device please let me know

2. Q: Preferred Form Factor(flip, bar, slider)?

A: Bar

3. Q: Preferred display type?

A: None

4. Q: Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them.

A: No

5. Q: Preferred input method (Touchscreen, QWERTY, etc.)?

A: Touchscreen

6. Q: Camera required or not? If required, please specify type like front camera/flash/etc.

A: Required atleast 5MP camera. Flash. and a secondary one

7. Q: Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc).

A: Android

8. Q: Preferred connectivity options? (3G, Wifi, Edge etc).

A: 3G WIFI Edge

9. Q: What is your intended use for this phone(internet, camera, multimedia, mails, etc)?

A: Apps Mails

10. Q: Any other requirements?

A: NO

11. Q: If you have already considered a phone then please mention the model.

A: Sensation or Atrix 2

Most important thing for me is longevity and service center support. Then comes official android updates and custom rom support. I will get most probably Sensation or Atrix 2

Sensation VS Atrix 2

Memory 1VS 8GB(I will install a lot of apps and even if I move to SD still it does occupy some space on internal memory)

Ram 768MB VS 1GB( will it matter?)

Battery 1520vs 1785(Igyan specifically mentioned that Atrix2 has fabulous battery backup)

Death grip issue is just an over exaggeration in my IMO.

I have also heard that Sensation is being discontinued and HTC will launch One S after stock clearence

Atrix 2 is also plagued by issues like Class 10 SD card

All in all I feel Atrix 2 is superior but over the years I have learn't that software updates is very important in whole user experinece. Sensation already has ICS update and since it was flagship device, it should get jelly beans(please comment). Custom rom support is also way better than atrix. I don't think moto will give jellybeans update to atrix(please comment).

Another concern is about service centres( IMO Apple Samsung and Nokia has best service in India)

So, I am basically torn between these two devices.

Both the Motorola Atrix 2 and the HTC Sensation are amazing phones. I believe both phones are receiving the ICS Official update(both phones have ENOUGH ICS custom firmwares at XDA forums anyways).

- I would pick the Atrix 2 for it's battery and internal storage

- I would pick Sensation for it's Sense and looks

Decide on what you pick

I am really concerned about hardware issues mentioned on XDA forum. Can anyone confirm if these issues have been fixed with new batches?

I agree on that but after searching I found that sensation has lot more issues than atrix2(if we talk only about hardware)

I don't want to wait at all. I think One S won't be launched in price bracket of 22-23k. It would be 26-27 and I can't extend my budget at all.

HTC Sensation.

It scores over the HTC One S in expandable storage, non-pentile display and removable battery (you can put in a 1900mAh OEM battery for more juice) . Also I think One S will be priced between 25k to 28k.

Motorola Atrix 2 has a limited developer base on XDA. I would go for the Sensation, HTC One S will easily be 28k when launched. I heard that Galaxy Nexus is available at 24k at Alfa, although with its flaws I feel that is the best phone below 25k ATM. In addition the Motorola has a TFT screen, I wouldnt go for a TFT based screen for any phones above 20k.

In addition you can wait for Sony Experia P, but I do not expect anything from the Experia Series, they seem to be a generation behind hardware wise. In addition they ship with ridiculously small capacity batteries.

Yes, I will post pics. It costed 23550 along with 16GB sandisk class 4(as atrix has problems with higher class cards).

I know I could have got it cheaper from saholic but flipkart looked more trustworthy as I have ordered earlier on from them.

I searched Croma, Mobilestore, Hotspot and what not. It wasn't available. Everyone was saying " Samsung le lo"

Even when I went to get a screenguard, shopkeeper tried to put screenguard of S 2. When will people understand that every big screen phone is not samsung.

One of my friend asked how much you spent on it?

I said 22K
