Monitors Are 1440p 144Hz IPS monitors worth the hassle?

Hi, I am planning to build a RTX2080/2070 based PC for gaming and I am very much inclined to buy a 1440p 144Hz gsync IPS monitor, all bells and whistles.
The cheapest that I can find is Acer Predator XB271HU bmiprz ~47k

My real concern is that after spending close to 50k for a monitor, is the after sales service upto the mark in case of any dead/stuck pixels? All the reviews point out to people having a bad experience in this aspect.

I would expect a 50k part to be top-notch. Its just that I dont want to use a TN panel monitor with this setup. The TN panel I am using does not have any dead pixels even after 10+ years of use.

Acer dead pixel policy is clear on paper but I am doubtful of the reality.

Really appreciate any views and suggestions on high value monitors, after sales service and dead pixels.

Thanks,

I've been using the Acer for over two years. No issues with it

The general problem with these panels relate to panel lottery. Frequency of significant backlight bleed seems to higher than normal ips monitors. A friend of mine had to exchange his twice. Buy from a source who would help with such a problem.

All the 144hz 1440p ips panels are from the same supplier so that issue would be there across brands

+1 for his comment... i think IT Depot is providing this warranty, where they will take up to the manufacturer for any issues !!

From which retailer did your friend bought the monitor? Also which brand was it?

Any good recommendation for similar 1440p/27"/144Hz freesync models?
Could not find any in Indian market.
I would love to have freesync support incase down the line I upgrade to ATI.

Just ordered this a day ago.

I expect it to arrive today. Shall report how it is. It seems to check all the boxes - 144Hz, adaptive sync, HDR, 1440p and IPS. Has both HDMI and Display port inputs.

Adaptive sync is now supported by both GPU vendors so it doesn't make much sense to pay G-Sync tax.

Also forgot to mention - this one appears to be the more sought after Innolux panel rather than the two year old AUO that is used by most other 1440p 144Hz displays.

This monitor looks really promising at this price point, especially when none of the features are sacrificed.
Eagerly expecting your initial impressions!
