AVG crashes Internet

I have installed AVG latest version to my computer. After finished it founds virus properly. But afterwards Internet doesn't works. Then i restored previous day with the help of sytem restore. Internet works fine now. What is the real problem, can anyone suggest me a good antivirus software
 
Try Avast antivirus Home edition. Its free too. Though I will recommend going for Kaspersky Internet Security 2010. The one year licence comes for Rs. 450 i guess.

Did u have any other antivirus/firewall installed prior to it???..If yes then try removing it completely (Norton removal tool etc)...uninstall AVG, restart system, Run CCleaner and try installing it again
 
Try disabling the LinkScanner and Webshield and see if it works or not,if you are using AVG 8.0 then AVG has released a fix for this here:

FYI i am using the version 9.0.829 and have not faced any issues.

@ionicsachin : i have had a horrible experience with avast and personally will not recommend it , in-spite of the ads prefer Avira any time due to its detection rate.
