Button (yes shirt button) camera or spy camera

First you say this

And then post this??

OP didn't just ask about a camera, he mentioned the purpose. And we warned him about the consequences.

You are the one turning this into politics.
I was replying to a comment here which will be transferred to new thread if created by mods. And tell me where there is mention of politics in my post?

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the thread conversation. But by calling mods and saying political talk is happening you have started politics in this very thread is what I'm saying!

This forum anyway has become a political ghetto with politics in every thread, so let it be. How the mighty have fallen !! From "Grey matters here" slogan and no politics allowed even in General Talk with quick deletion by Mods to now where each and every thread is filled with political hatred instead of tech. Anyway with not much tech talk going Politics was the only way for this forum to survive so we should understand why there was 180 degree change in Forum policy, not everyone can be a Team BHP.

We had a lot of discussion on these topics a while back when I was learning. for example, how to "stand your ground" with situations with street photography. Many people in the western world dont like their kids photographed, Its very easy to get labeled as a pedophile for taking a picture of a kid. Many people dont like their house photographed. But they/cops cannot take away your camera or make you delete the pictures because of the laws.
Way i see it if you are taking a photo on a public road of a house they cannot do anything whether here or there. You will get intimidated but i tell people to get lost.

Once one woman even threatened to call the cops, i told her by the time they arrive i will not be here and continued.

But in India; there are instances where people got arrested and their cameras taken away for taking a picture of a girl in public space. Though most of the people are cool with taking photographs; The photographer is totally at mercy of people/cops. So... taking candid shots in public is really a touchy subject. And yeah, you can bribe your way out of it; but it doesn't make it legal.

My personal opinion is that many people in India relate street photography with poverty porn and they think that it should not be allowed. but here in US street photography is freedom of speech. Its a blurry line.
Cannot take a photo inside private property. Owners can object. So inside a mall i have been told its against the terms of admission. I wanted to photograph menus in a food stall. I managed to click a few before the manager showed up.

Taking a photo of private property from a public space nothing can be done. Barring exceptions. Some places have special rules that make it a criminal offense to do so. That info is usually posted at the gate.

You can take a photo of some one in a car on a public road. I did just that of my tenants driver taking a snooze. He then comes over to the house all annoyed i told them to go back to his car and not sleep on the job. He then says he will call the cops i told him if he did that he would need anther job and slammed the door. The cheek of a mere driver...

I have made posts relating to politics from nearly ten years ago that are still accessible. I don't know where this 'ghetto' thing comes from.

AFAIK the policy has been liberal here unless flaming is obvious and that applies to anything tech related too.

I think that is a good policy, let discussions run their course like with anything else.

BHP i have never figured out how to join that place so i never bothered. I did find it weird they did not have a general talk section. You can gauge quite a lot about the board as a whole from there alone.

People's right to take offence at any arbitrary thing is a liability for any society

This reminds me of the white house.Clearly off-limits, but people can stand outside the gate and take photos way inside right? I have no idea about the actual rules there, just stating what i've seen from media/movies/tv...

Right, this electricity substation has been notified as a 'prohibited place' coming under the India official secrets act

No photos

It is draconian, it was put in place when the Brits were here.

Talk about abuse of power:

And they have no shame doing it openly[DOUBLEPOST=1545429020][/DOUBLEPOST]

Clearly their rules aren't strict enough if a beautyphool gulab ka phool like you were able to join.[DOUBLEPOST=1545429200][/DOUBLEPOST]And why are people complaining about politics in tech threads when in our day to day lives, politics has invaded technology? Why can't we talk about it? Oh right, because it rightly blames your favourite failed govt. People aren't blind or stupid, neither out there or in this forum.

i wanted to join that place to talk about washing machines. Since i couldn't get in i taught myself enough that i don't need that place. I could give them a lecture on the subject.

Same thing with UPS now. Their threads are viewable and you can learn enough on your own.

A site that is as auhoritarian as theirs isn't one i would want to join any way. Entrance requirements to join an internet web forum ? such an Indian way of doing things :D

Need auto related stuff there is always gearheads which has none of the nonsense BHP has. Same members on there too.
