^^ Get the Dell Ultrasharp U2312H ~ 14500/- from here --> http://www.smcinternational.in/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage_images.tpl&product_id=1789&category_id=64&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=93.

It is a 23" inch full HD LED back-lit monitor with an IPS panel monitor although it has response time issues ~ 8ms, so there might be ghosting in fast paced action games / films.

Apart from this pitfall the monitor is much better than its standard TN based brethren in other spheres, like color gamut and view angles. To know more about IPS panel technology, here are a few links --> http://www.pchardwarehelp.com/guides/lcd-panel-types.php / http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPS_panel.

Hope this helps Sire. Cheers!!

As well request mods to shift this thread to appropriate Section.

Do you strictly need a 27" or less would be ok?,there's offer going on @primeabgb for Asus PA238Q-16.5K it's Better than Dell u2312h,sorry to say but this post is gonna be moved.

thanks for the reply(s) guys. i will consider the asus over dell because it has a HDMI and i also use my ps3 on the monitor open to other suggestions also beacuse (( asus warranty is a JOKE IMO cause its rashi :X ))

yeah thanks for the idea my gfx card has a display port and can use the dvi to HDMI for my ps3
<

what is the difference between u2311h and u2312hm

btw is the u27a550h as bad as the reviewer said it is

Why don't you look at the Dell U2412 (E IPS LED with 16:10 ratio & 1920 x 1200).

I have been using it for the last two months & quite happy with it.

Only issue with this one is that it has no HDMI port, but you can use a adapter instead.

^^ I think it is a bit out of OP's budget, considering OP Sire wants to spend >= 20000/-, but the Dell U2412 comes around ~ 27000/- if I'm not wrong.

i had sent a mail to dell and received the price list thought i could share it with you guys @alpha17 the u2412m is around 17k

Thanks for the response guys I have 2 doubts which I need to clarify

1. The dell u2412m has a 8ms g2g response time how will it affect gaming

2. I have a display port in my pc and I will be using a Dvi to hdmi cable to connect my ps3 will it upscale properly or will it be blurry

And any idea how much the ve278q costs and where I can get it Will think of considering vk278q if ve is not avaibe

^^ Answers in serial order --

1. You might notice a ghosting issue in fast paced action sequences and PC games.

2. I'm not sure on this let other members comment on this, but I do not think your output will be blurry because in video signal the DVI-Digital format and HDMI are even, but the latest iteration HDMI 1.4a supports 3D output as well sound over the same cable as video signal.

Hope this helps, Sire. Cheers!!

guys i am thinking wait for another 15 days save up some cash and go for the asus VE\K278Q. suggestions welcome

btw @thegatekeeper i read in many reviews that the dells are not meant for gaming but they do the job.

The Asus 27" monitor u mentioned will cost atleast 23k, i inquired a month ago, The SMC guy told me it had warranty issues...

It is an ok monitor, if 27" is what ur looking for then also consider Benq M2700HD

@pranut he was refering to horrible A.S.$ by rashi i doubt monitors will fail... and i read up already on that benq its not so good. how much is your UA27D5000 is it good?

i think you guys have got the pricing of u2412 & u2410 wrong. it has shot up now as far as i know.

if you are getting it at the price you have mentioned then its a no brainer which monitor you should buy.
