Can Rj45 connector be used for CAT7 cable?

I googled a bit about this topic and found that CAT7 is backwards compatible with RJ45, but standard connector for cat7 is GG45.

Has anyone here on TE used RJ45 for CAT7 cable?

The GG45 has 4 additional conductors at the corners, which is utilized by CAT 7. What is the use of going for CAT 7 if you are not fully utilizing it?

I guess it should work, but at reduced performance.

Indian Navy doesnt understand it ;).

One more doubt, as per the info I got from google, OD of CAT7 is more then OD of CAT6/CAT5, so crimping CAT7 in a standard RJ45 connector wont be possible. Is it so? I was unable to get a perfect answer for this query.
