PC Peripherals Config for 2D design/photo-editing - please help!

Hey all,

I need a config with 2 Display alternatives, one high-end 24" and one 22".

This PC will be used 90% for design and photo-editing using applications like Adobe's Creative Suite and CorelDraw.

An good quality and VFM IPS display is a must.

Now standard template:

RAM: Kingston 4GB (2*2GB) DDRIII 1333MHz - 4.4k

GPU: Any entry level proffesional GPU like Nvidia Quadro FX380/ ATI Fire pro V3750 . Should cost about 8-9k~. Not sure of the prices and other entry level cards in the market. ATI Fire pro V3700 is priced at 90$. Not sure of price and availablity here.

HDD: WD Blue AAKS 500GB SATAII - 2.5k
Monitor: Dell S2209WA-15k(e-ips)
Cabinet: NZXT Gamma - 2.1k
SMPS: Gigabyte Superb 460W - 2.2k
Optical Drive: L.G. GH22NS30 SATA/Samsung SH-S22F SATA - 1.1k
Speakers: Altec Lansing BXR1121 - 1.1k
Keyboard+Mouse: Logitech Multimedia Combo - .7k

Total: 45-48k

1. You want 2 monitors in that budget..?

2. Would you not need a PRO-series GPU for your type of work.
 
I guess any mid-range computer(good processor ++) will do the job. No need of any extra GFX, 785G chipset would be sufficient for almost anything except gaming. but for a dual monitor setup you would need an entry level GFX card.

A few things:

- A pro GPU really isn't necessary for 2D work. There will be NO 3D/rendering work on this computer anytime.
- The AMD X4 II is a quad-core but it also has very very less on-chip cache (2MB IIRC). My current dual-core iC2D E8200 has 6MB, and I believe this makes a huge difference in Photoshop.
- The Dell 2209WA is exactly what I am looking for - thanks!
- An entry-level GFX card will/should be part of this config anyway

Any suggestions now that we have 3-5k more on the CPU part?

PS: Dual monitors are not necessary - at this stage. :)
