Corsair, a long standing name in the PC essentials market known for its multitude of RAM products and more recent expansions in the SMPS lines and Vengeance gaming themed accessories has recently come out with the latest refresh to its portfolio, the DOMINATOR PLATINUM DDR III. As most readers can recall after the Nehalem days there has not been a successor to the Triple-channel DOMINATOR kits. This is it.

Claiming innovative new DHX cooling technology [for its heat-spreaders] and internal cooling lanes on the PCB the company has one-upped itself with a full stainless-steel heat-spreader and a platinum top furniture that can be snapped on / off to access a customisable light-bar; Which is currently available only in white colour but Corsair assures that it will have other options soon. The RAM modules are rated at ~2800MHz --> 3.0GHz in capacities ranging from 4GB -->64GB.

Pricing is not clear but expected to be inline with other extreme rated RAM kits.

Will these high GHZ ram stable at full load say 3Ghz ram. Are you kidding CORSAIR :D

Well the range starts at that frequency, I do hope they live up to the hype generated by themselves.

Although real-world performance will not be affected, heck 1600MHz DDR III is more than enough for current power users and can be tightened further to so-called improve performance. I want to see how much these modules sip and how is the latency.

^^you should have posted then...anyway....this sticks likes cold...very cold...most probably Samsung or hynix chips...the good ol days of Elpida are gone :(
