CPU/Mobo CPU not supported. BIOS Update?

Altair

Skilled
Guys I bought ASUS H61M-CS motherboard in a haste for i7 2600k. The mobo doesn't support this processor.
Although the system is working fine. Just have to press f1.

I want to know is there anyway i can update my mobo to a bios which supports this cpu. I have zero idea regarding BIOS update etc. Is there any custom BIOS or anything. The CPU isn't supported on the official website.
Also is there any harm using this motherboard? Will be using it for gaming purposes.

2600k isn't on its supported list but 2600s is:

Thanks and Regards.

You need to change the Motherboard that supports i7 2600k as there is no Bios update that can support your Processor.

You can go with Gigabyte H61M-S1 @ 3k or Gigabyte B75M-D3H @ 6k from flipkart

The above 2 motherboards support your i7 2600k Processor.

Will using this motherboard cause problem. I need to use it for programming etc for the next 4 months then gaming once my 7th Sem is over.
If yes then i'll be changing mobo asap.

It will work fine except you won't be able to use it to full potentials.
Just like we plug in hi frequency ram in basic system and it works on stock clocks.
Still post cpu-z pic here.
