If 45-50k then here is a good config which i thought of going for ,if i had thoes extra bucks.

AMD phenom 2x4 955 BE
Gigabyte GA-880GM-USB3 (only board which is VFM in 4.5 k budget and good A.S.S)
RAM-G.Skill Sniper 2x4GB 1600MHz DDR3
PSU-Seasonic s12II 620w
GFX-GTX 560TI or HD6950(better go for 560Ti if you are into 3d rendering like Maya)but if you can usr 9800GT for a couple of minths and upgradw when the 28nm GFX are out.
Cabinet-NZXT Gamma(I know most people suggest it,but it is worth every penny you pay)
HDD-As you have 1TB HDD then dont buy HDD as the price as toooo much high. Its upto your decsion.500GB costs 4.5k and 1TB costs 5.6k.
Monitor-Benq G2222HDL or Del ST2220L

Total Cost without HDD is 43k.

If you can compromize on Razer mouse and Keyboard then you can get a good CPU cooler for around 2.2k
And your total pc would cost 47k /-

And IMO that is one VFM build i think. :)

I am building a rig for one of my friend. His budget too is Rs. 45-50k. Here are the specs that I chose.

Motherboard: Asus P8H67-M-LX Price: Rs 5,600.00
Processor: Intel Core i5-2320 @ 3.00GHz Price: Rs 9,300.00
RAM/Memory: G.SKILL Sniper 8GB (2 x 4GB) Price: Rs 3,100.00
Graphic Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 - 1GB Price: Rs 14,300.00
Monitor: Dell ST2320L 23" Wide LED Price: Rs 9,500.00
PSU: CORSAIR Gaming Series GS700 700W Price: Rs 5,250.00
Cabinet: Cooler Master Elite 335 Price: Rs 2,300.00
=======================================================
Rs. 49,800.00

Is this configuration good enough ? Suggest, if you got better deals or specs.

I am unable to decide whether I should go with Intel or AMD. :(

Config should be able to play games like BF3, PES 2011, GTA IV etc. I am going to render video files using After Effects, and other equivalent software only. I can't use 9800GT anymore, it started giving me random artifacts :(

@OP-

* Though 955BE is a very good VFM procy, but i5-2320 is much better and will help you a lot in multi-threaded rendering apps.

* For mobo, you can even consider, MSI H67MA-E35 B3 @ 4600, as overclocking is not your main priority. Thus you can save a few bucks enough for your keybrd and mouse gaming combo :eek:hyeah:

* For graphics card, if your main priority is rendering apps, stick to MSI GTX560 Ti Twin Frozer II, otherwise, 6950 FTW.

Hope this helps :).

Cpu-Intel Core i5 2400-10.5k,since you are not that interested in overclocking.

Mobo-Intel DH67BL B3-5.5k

Ram-Gskill ripjaws X 1600 MHz 4GB x 2-3.3k

Gpu- MSi Twin Frozr / ASUS Direct CU II GTX 560 Ti 14.5k

seasonic s12ii 620w-4.6k or Corsair TX V2 650W ~ 5.2k

BenQ G2222HDL or Del ST2220L-8.5k

Nzxt gamma-2.1k or Nzxt guardian 921rb-4.2k

RAZER Arctosa Silver on Black KB + Razer DeathAdder-4.3k

This will fit correctly in your budget and intel i5 2400 is much better than phenom ii x4 955-http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/88?vs=363

And it will be better in rendering applications.

Hope this helps.

^ I've Circle RAW Power 550watt PSU which is pretty good one.

exQ8E.png

Here's the specification (SMPS looks like it is given in first picture, not second one) and I found it good enough. I am surprised to see the build quality of this PSU is awesome. Wires casings and the molex connectors are also made of good quality. I can change it if I need to. But considering this is only a few months old, I can keep it with me if it can work with the suggested specification.

It would be better if you get 600w psu like seasonic or corsair 650w v2 for gpu like gtx560ti or hd6950,your circle 550w psu only has 32a on 12v rail which is not enough for these gpus. You atleast need 38a 12v rail psu to run your rig with safety, don't risk your gpu on your existing psu it might be dangerous cause it can blow up.If you are tight on budget then you can sell this psu and get a new 600w psu.

^ Sure, I will sell this one then. 2400k comes with unlocked multiplier right?

So here's the configuration I've came up to after your suggestions.

Processor : Intel i5 2400k - 10.5k

Motherboard : Intel DH67BL B3 - 5.5k (Any other suggestion, if I want to OC in future, any ASUS alternative?)

GPU : ASUS Direct CU II GTX 560 - 12.5k

PSU : seasonic s12ii 620w-4.6k or Corsair TX V2 650W ~ 5.2k

Monitor : Dell ST2220L-8.5k

RAM : G.Skill Sniper / Ripjaws 4x2GB (DDR3 1600) : 3.5;

Cabinet : NZXT Gamma : 2.5k

Mouse : Razer Deathadder : 1.8k

Keyboard : Razer Arctosa (need a suggestion Here) 2k

---------------

Total : 52k. I'll think of purchasing HDD later after prices comes back to normal..

Now, help me choosing the right motherboard, Keyboard.. Should I go with NZXT Guardian or stick with cheap yet good cabby Gamma?

I own a Guardian 921RB bought for 3.2K , but now this cabby costs round 4K and I suggest you to go for Corsair Carbide 400R instead for 4.5K... If you dont want to spend more then NZXT Gamma is also a good choice.

I5 2400 does not come with an unlocked multiplier.

http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/input_devices/razer_arctosa_gaming_keyboard/1 Doesnt shine in reviews for a 2K keyboard

@OP- 2400K ?? Where did you got that? Its plain 2400, K version is in 2500 and 2600, no 2400K for sure, AFAIK. Consider 2320 if you don't want to Overclock for 9300 or 2500k if you want to overclock @ 11.7 appx.

For GPU- go with MSI 560Ti twin frozer II, it has got superb cooling with performance.

For mobo- you can consider- Asus P8Z68-M PRO B3. It'll help you in overclocking.

If you are definitely going to oc the proccy then there is no point in getting i5 2400.

It would be better if you increase your budget by 5k and get intel i5 2500k-11.5k+ASUS P8P67 PRO B3-11.2k,it would be worth buying this combo for overclocking and better performance.

For your budget i would suggest you to stick with classic Nzxt gamma-2.1k case.

Keyboard-you can go with Razer Arctosa-2.1k or Microsoft Sidewinder x4-2.4k

The total will go around 55k but it's better to get good stuff by stretching a bit than getting dissatisfied products.

Getting that motherboard will add some 4k and that will extend my budget :(

Yeah, I made a big mistake by specifying 2400k.. I wanted to specify 2500k :p

So I would definitely go with

Processor : Core i5 2500k - 12.5k

Motherboard : MSI H67MA-E35 (B3) - 5k (If I want to OC in future, I'll change motherboard only)

GPU : ASUS Direct CU II GTX 560 - 12.5k / MSI 560Ti twin frozer II : 14.5k

PSU : seasonic s12ii 620w-4.6k or Corsair TX V2 650W ~ 5.2k

Monitor : Dell ST2220L-8.5k

RAM : G.Skill Sniper / Ripjaws 4x2GB (DDR3 1600) : 3.5;

Cabinet : NZXT Gamma : 2.5k

Mouse : Razer Deathadder : 1.8k

Keyboard : Suggest any keyboard within 1.5-2k.. :)

I will not get the motherboard if i were you ,even if your not gonna oc,It still bottle necks your processor stock performance,i would suggest to wait and get one with the P67 chipset ,when you have the cash.

Get any Razer mouse but not DA. Its a good mouse and VFM no doubt but if you just google you'll see that its one of the most faulty gaming mouse ever. Many people have RMA'd the same mouse multiple times and Razer is not known for its swift after sales service.

Other than for MMO gaming you will not require a gaming keyboard. If not for showing off.
IMO, get a normal keyboard and put the money for a better mouse. ;)

Correction in pricing-

i5-2500K > 11.7k

Mobo MSI H67MA-E35 > 4.7k

Cabby- NZXT gamma> 2.1K

Source- theitwares.com

PSU- Opt for S12II 620 as Tx650V2 is not required.

Measured power consumption

Advertised TDP = 170W

System in IDLE = 173W

System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress = 321W

Difference (GPU load) = 148 W

Add average IDLE wattage ~ 25W

Subjective obtained GPU power consumption = ~ 173 Watts

For keyboard- You can either go with Arctosa or Sidewinder x4. But as already told, Razer has not good ASS, plus not durable products.

Total cost= 51.4K excluding keyboard. (taking MSI in gfx)
