PC Peripherals Dell 24" S2409W to or not to!?

I am getting a deal for the Dell 24" S2409W for 8.5k. Is this a good deal(~2years old)??

I really want to upgrade to a bigger screen FullHD , tired of my viewsonic 22" VA 2226W(1680x1050)>

Will it be a decent upgrade, in terms of picture quality and screen space??

P.s. How much can I get for my Viewsonic Va 2226W 16:10 (1680x1050)monitor!?

why don't you get a new 2312 instead?

i just feel that it will be better to get a new one instead of something which has been used for 2 years.u2312 is a fantastic display and produces nice colours.

Not really in a position to spend much on a monitor, thats the reason am trying to capitalise on the dell s2409w deal, now I can get it for 7.5k still bad??
 
ummm don't know brother its a personal call.

i personally won't go for a 2 year old monitor when you can spend a bit more and get a new one.

how much is the benq 2420 going for? 9.5 k i think.you should have a look at that.
 
7.5k looks like a fair deal. I hope the display still has an year of warranty remaining?

It isn't a major upgrade from a 22 incher though.
