Rain forecast for tomorrow. Should be an exciting one. Race starts at 12:30 IST. :hap2:

its no hidden secret that the tifosi own F1....last year mclaren were DQ'd for possessing technical ferrari material ...but similar action was not taken against renault who possessed mclaren information.

After having a dreadful start...that is what the tifosi whould have commanded the stewards to do.

If u have watched the qualifying today...in Q2 Timo Glock blocked Hamilton, who was on his flying lap...shouldn't he be demoted 5 places too ???
Both heidfield and Alonso have had a bad past with Mclaren..so I presume this is their way to get back at Mclaren...did they not get obstructed by the Ferrari's or the other 4 cars ?Tomorrow I am expecting a rain marred start where the cars from the first three rows take out each other at the first corner

Actually both Masa and Kimi pulled off the racing line as soon as they completed their laps. Kimi was wayyyyy off the racing line when these 2 drivers went passed him ( he was on the dirty side of the straight just to make sure that drivers coming through are allowed to pass ).

Both Mclarens were on the racing line, did you see cockpit view of the drivers on the flying lap which was shown? Amazing video, and amazing drive through blocking cars by the two drivers but it did spoil their lap as they had to move off the racing line, cut the 2 mclarens to make sure they dont miss apex as well which looses you a fraction of second which is huge for any team and driver.

Why others pulled off the racing line? they must have been told from the pit lane that 2 drivers are coming through on the flying lap. If Mclaren pitwall did not pass this message to their drivers, then shame on them. And if this message was passed to them and still they didnt move, shame on drivers. Either way, team will be penalised.

About Hamilton getting blocked by Glock, in that case also it was hamilton who handed slam bang on the tail of Glock out of the curve. There is no way Glock would have known or seen Hamilton coming or even if he did, he wouldnt have been able to do anything as it happened in the turn it was too late.

Realistically Mclaren should expect atleast one in the Top 3 (to be precise 3rd)...unless the Ferrari faces some mechanical gremlins....if its a rainy day tomorrow at Malaysia then its will be a lottery of sorts....Maybe even a ForceIndia on the podium:clap::cheers: :yahoo:

i cant even begin to imagine....
rainy day without traction control.....drivers will be skidding all over sepang!...esp. considering only 5 finished last week...

will sure be fun watchin...

dude, McLaren themselves have accepted the ruling.

They acknowledge that their cars blocked the two cars on the flying lap. The stress that it was accidental, but they accept their mistake.

And here you are arguing that they were innocent !!

McLaren CEO Martin Whitmarsh says the team has accepted the penalties given to Heikki Kovalainen and Lewis Hamilton in Malaysia, but has stressed that his drivers did not deliberately block Nick Heidfeld and Fernando Alonso.

The two McLarens have been moved five places down the Sepang grid after holding up Heidfeld and Alonso at the end of qualifying.

Having completed their final flying laps earlier than usual due to the possibility of rain, Kovalainen and Hamilton were cruising back to the pits and trying to save fuel when the BMW and Renault came up behind them on fast laps.

"We accept the stewards' decision, but would like to add that neither Lewis nor Heikki impeded any of their competitors deliberately," Whitmarsh said.

"It was an unfortunate incident - nothing more, nothing less.

"We look forward to tomorrow's race."

Heidfeld felt that the time lost avoiding the McLarens on the way into turn four cost him the 0.2s that would have moved him from seventh to third on the grid.

He will now start fifth after Kovalainen and Hamilton's demotion to eighth and ninth, with Jarno Trulli and Robert Kubica moving up to third and fourth.

if u see the video...the mclaren is about to turn in for the corner.....so he has to use the racing line....if he had been on the inside ....it would make things worse<-- My Opinion

Someone's very pissed that Mclaren's not on Front Grid :bleh:

All in all the result of Ferrari was expected, it was proven over winter testing that in longer run they were fastest.. Couple of badlucks and driver errors gave critics a chance to say something negative after last race..

Mclaren never looked dominating over past 2 days...1st prac was dominated by massa.. in 2nd prac lewis scored the fastest lap nearly at the end and in 3rd it was Nick with Ferrari following him.. Besides practice sessions dont indicate much as Fuel load is unpredictable..

Regarding today's qualifying, In the incident of Timo Glock and Hamilton... There was no chance for Timo Glock to give free space for Hamilton to overtake, It can be called unfortunate on his part nothing else... Besides he had a problem free 2nd run but he couldnt outpace ferrari..

Although there are lots of speculation over the fuel loads.. I pretty much feel that Mclarens are lighter than Ferrari and now with 5 place penalty, only a miracle(Rain/string of safety car's) can give them victory..

After having a dreadful start...that is what the tifosi whould have commanded the stewards to do.

Well when Ferrari is not involved in any incident of today's qualifying , then why would they 'COMMAND' stewards to do anything and who are team to command stewards to do anything. They can 'APPEAL' and its upto stewards, besides i think its Renault and BMW who must have appealed. Where did Tifosi come in to this picture. You dont have to bring tifosi in every discussion just because you think that they don't deserve what they get ;)

And regarding the decision of penalising Mclaren drivers, Well even if by watching the video we cant be sure if they breached any rules but there are many occasions where stewards decision dont seem justified.

Although i feel penalty was totally justified and ^^^ Mclaren's were nowhere near the corner so in this case inside line was definitely a better option. Although it was surely not deliberate but it was a mistake on thier part and so they paid the price.

Besides it'll be interesting to see Lewis race from middle of the pack. Out of his 18 starts only 1 start has been outside of 4th place on the grid.

It was in European GP and he started 10th and he finished 9th ;)

Also all of his 5 wins came when he was on Pole ;) So he hasnt got much of chance to work hard for the victory..

Lets hope that tomorrow regardless of any driver or team we get to see an interesting race..

OMG !!! what are you talking abt ?

You can turn anywhere you want. Everyone wants to turn on the racing line because that gives you the most grip. When you are on your slowing down lap, you dont need to use the racing line.... sheeesh... get your facts right.

Nice Race !!! though I feel sad for Lewis....but still well faught.......And Mclaren Still Lead the Championship

He couldnt pass Webber in a faster car and that too WHOLE RACE   What kind of well fought that was ?

Heiki did good..

Massa screwed Ferrari 1-2...
