Ok so as of now I have decided not to go with any box or anything. Whatever serials my wife watches are legally available almost after they are telecast in India, on YouTube or the channel's own app.
Star content is available on hotstar app. Zee, colours and Sony contents are uploaded almost immediately by the channels on their YouTube channels that too in HD.
So with a chromecast or Roku 3 box, I am set. Obviously I am assuming that these broadcasters haven't blocked these YouTube channels in USA.
And yeah all those boxes which cost upward of $200 and all are illegal services. No guarantee that channel will work. For such a thing I think I can get using Xbmc or something similar for free.
Dish world is the only legit service in addition to yupptv.
