Gaming and Performance PC in 30K

129 degrees and 120 degrees is unrealistic.. sandy throttles the cpu beyond 100 degrees so 120 is quite impossible.. if you are referring to combined temperatures of all cores then that is plain stupid.. max temp for each core is around 65 degrees safely..

I was talking about temperature of GPU. The temp of proccy remains around 65-75C while playing games. and what is sandy?

Nvidia GTX 560 Ti is better than 6870 according to this.

#[member='N5233'] Sandy = Sandy bridge or 2nd gen i series CPUs

But my current proccy is a Pentium D so what is the meaning of "s[font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]andy throttles the cpu beyond 100 degrees so 120 is quite impossible"?[/font]

[font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]Also look at the quotation I mentioned on Page 3.[/font]

That'd require another 2-3k to shell out.

SB CPUs hardly goes beyond such temps (its cooling is very good). Whenever the temps go beyond 100 or something like that, the CPU throttles itself down (bring clocks low) to bring the temps low.

GTX 560ti is for 9.2K (and can be lower in other shops). and give your opinion abt the quotation mentioned on Page 3

Are cooler master and antec PSUs good? OR should I go with Seasonic and corsair only?

And what about the CM elite 311 cabinet ?

Either he is cheating you or he self doesn't knows whether its Ti or not. It can't be so cheap.

I think the second posibility is most probably correct. Should I go with the GTX560 instead of 6850/6870?

CM are not good except a few models. Antec is fine. Get crosair/seasonic if possible, otherwise Antec is also fine.

Let #[member='ALPHA17'] comment about cabinet. No, go with 6870, search some other shops.

Okay. is 6.8K good for a PSU (550W) + Cabinet combo (antec)? I'm going to search other shops today itself. But buying 6870 goes out of my budget. The quotation mentioned on the previous page totals 34K. Is the transcend RAM okay?

6.8 is a bit costly. Get a cheaper cabinet as suggested previously. Yeah get whichever RAM you get.

Yeah. I thought that too. I'm thinking of purchasing cabinet and PSU separately. I'll try to get corsair value RAM. its for 1200 online. so it will be about 1400 locally.

Went to DCC, Sujata, Ankita Sales, S'Tech Computers today. DCC and Sujata are too much overpriced and they didn't have these components.

Ankita and S'Tech gave reasonable quotes but Ankita dint have all the components. Proccy, MoBo, PSU will take 2-3 days to arrive.

But S'Tech is the best. He has all the parts and gave pretty good quotes. (Exceeds My budget though

)

Heres What S'Tech gave me:

i5-2400 - 10750

DH67CLB3 - 5500

MSI Radeon HD 6850 OC Power Edition - 10400

Corsair 4GB RAM 1333MHz - 1200

Corsair GS 600 - 4800

CM Elite 311 Plus - 2000 OR Zebronics Bijli 2 - 3750

Hows Zebronics bijli 2? I liked it very much.

#[member='JuGGa'] , #[member='ALPHA17'] Give your word on this. I've almost finalized it.

Avoid that cabinet like the plague, and the Cooler Master eLite 311 Plus is a decent buy, but lacks the features that are present in the NZXT Gamma. The reason I want you to avoid the Bijli 2 --> http://www.techenclave.com/topic/507266-zebronics-bijli-2-zeb-3323-b-pc-chassis-review/.

Try to get the NZXT Source Elite 210 ~ 2400/- OR the NZXT Gamma ~2600/- from Bombay please. Also for the SMPS get the Seasonic S12II 520W ~3600/- over the Corsair GS 600.

Whats

Thanks for saving me from Bijli2. I'll buy the elite 311 Plus. Suggest me a cooler master cabby in 2000-2750 Range. Whats the problem with Corsair GS 600? Its seems good. I checked 5 shops but no seasonic is available. The man at ankita told me that their ASS is very bad and if something wrong happens you'll get a big headache. How are Cooler Master PSUs? All most all shops recommended me those. The man at ankita said that they have Very good ASS(Better than corsair/ seasonic).

The issue with Corsair GS series is that it doesn't go through the intense vetting of components as the other VX, HX and TX series SMPS's go through.

http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Corsair-GS800-Power-Supply-Review/1103, get a lower rated VX series SMPS if possible, even the Corsair VX 550W ~4500/- is a better deal.

Next, I flatly recommend you to steer away from the Cooler Master GX line-up [this must be the one shop keepers would have been pushing] and avoid the eXtreme Power series even more, the GX series has serious issues with load ripple suppression, read here for more --> http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&file=print&reid=188 / http://www.hardocp.com/article/2010/11/22/cooler_master_gx_650w_power_supply_review/9 / http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/CoolerMaster/GX650W_Bronze/8.html.

Summary

Coolermaster has a decent 600 watt unit here. The unit does pretty well for stability and efficiency, doesn't get very loud, and... what? It's a 750 watt unit?

Facepalm.

Past Coolermaster units have done pretty well here in the lab, and I'm puzzled that this one has done so poorly. I hope that next time, if there is a next time, we'll have something worth getting excited about.

The Good:
  • appearance
  • enough cabling to handle anything a 750W unit can power
  • somewhat shallow depth

The Bad:
  • cannot handle heat at 750 watts
  • ripple issues on the 3.3V rail
  • questionable capacitor quality

The Mediocre:
  • voltage regulation

The eXtreme Powee series is worse than the GX line-up in terms of everything, efficiency as well as power out-put and the warraty is cut by two years to just 3 years of warranty.

I will rate performance in this order -->

Seasonic > Corsair > Cooler Master

After sales -->

Corsair > Cooler Master > Seasonic

The Seasonic after sales is looked after by Tirupati Enterprises and they are pretty reliable. They are the distributors and service providers for ThermalRIGHT as well as Antec coolers.

Hope this clarifies things, Cheers!!

Corsair has one of the best ASS' in India. GS600 is not bad, but you don't need that much. Seasonic sII 520w is better in terms of efficiency and saves your money too. If corsair is available, you go for VX550. No to CM.

Okay. Can I go with Antec 550W? I dont know about the availability of Corsair VX550. will it be priced more than the GS600?

A big thanx to you. You've been of great help. :thanks!:

You are right about the GX series. The Man was telling me to buy GX550. Because it has 5 years warranty.

Any suggestions on cooler master cabinets between 2-3K?

Okay. Can I go with Antec 550W? I dont know about the availability of Corsair VX550. will it be priced more than the GS600?

Hmmm... is it a pseudo modular SMPS OR the Antec EarthWatts SMPS, either ways they are reliable SMPS's.

Yes the Corsair VX 550W retails around ~4500/-, but it is worth the premium as it gets --> 5 years warranty and is a very reliable piece, here is Oklahoma Wolf's take on it --> http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=62

Any suggestions on cooler master cabinets between 2-3K?

Cooler Master eLite 430 ~3000/- OR Gladiator G600 ~3500/- http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/CoolerMaster/Gladiator_600/.

Hope this helps, Cheers!!
