Hi Enclave,

First, I'm from Bangalore. I'm buying from a mixture of SP Road and Amazon.

I'd recently posted about my gaming desktop one month ago and have since then revised my build. I'm going to buy parts in a week.

MotherBoard: Gigabyte G1. Sniper M7 - Rs. 8150
Processor: i5 - 6500 - Rs. 15000
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR4 2400MHz - Rs. 2750
GPU: Original plan was to get a Gtx 960 4GB Strix, but now may get the GTX 1060 Mini next week after release. - Rs 17500/ Rs 22999 (hopefully :p)
HDD: WD 1TB Blue SATA HDD 7.2k RPM - Rs. 3800
Cabinet: Corsair Spec 3 - Rs. 4600
PSU: Seasonic S12 II 520W/620W - Rs. 5200 / 5800

The overall build budget was to be under 60k, which I achieve if I opt for the GTX 960 4GB, but I'm at about 63k if I opt for the 1060, but I think that's worth it.

I intend to game at 1080p majorly as I'm limited by my monitor, but I want the desktop to be capable of higher resolutions if I upgrade to 1440p in the near future.

I want to know the following:
1) Is there something glaringly wrong with my choices?
2) Will my i5 6500 bottleneck the 1060 in the near future? (My research says no, but I'd like some confirmation).
3) What PSU would I need? I'm debating between the Seasonic S12 II 520W and Seasonic S12 II 620W. Which would be more appropriate? My logic is that although the 620W is overkill, it might allow wiggle room for future upgrades. But then again with the Pascal series becoming super efficient, I'm not sure anymore :/

Any help is appreciated. Thanks :)

1) Does not look so
2) No
3) Are you going to overclock your CPU (current one can be OCed partially only IIRC) and/or GPU in future? If no, 520W can suffice you. But again difference of just 500 bucks is attractive for headroom of 100W.

Get the following config:

MotherBoard: Gigabyte G1. Sniper M7 - Rs. 8150,
Processor: Intel Core i5 6500 - Rs. 15000,
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4 2400MHz - Rs. 2500,
GPU: Asus Strix GTX 1060 Mini 6GB - Rs. 23000,
HDD: WD 1TB Blue SATA HDD 7.2k RPM - Rs. 3800,
Cabinet: Antec GX300 - Rs. 4000,
PSU: Seasonic S12 II 620W - Rs. 5800.

1) No but change some components.
2) No, Not at all.
3) Go with Seasonic S12II 620w.
