16 GB version costs Rs.27490/- After Applying 7.5% coupon, Rs.25,490.00

Here is the review if anyone wants to have a look at the phone :)

Also- Engadget guys did not praise the battery back up offered . I am waiting for the GSMARENA battery test before getting this one.

why does 299$ cost so much ? , would direct import be cheaper?

a. 1 USD @ 55 INR makes the phone Rs. 16,445.00
b. Add Shipping + Customs to India (Around 3k)
c. eBay Listing Fees with EMI (@7.5%)
d. Seller Profit

I guess you can see how the price quickly gets out of hand.

Why nexus is available in just 8 and 16GB variant without Micro sd card slot? It's a shame to have such a beast with so little storage.
Is it a business thingy to avoid nexus eating sales of S3?

^^^Which other nexus device has micro sd slot???
were u sleeping since years
When did I say that previous generation nexus had micro sd slot? Only nexus one had it. I am just saying that it's absurd to offer such a high performance device with such low internal storage and no option to add micro sd.

Not to eat into S3 sales but may be the flagship of nexus makers sales like optimus g
most nexus devices are subsidized with minimal profit to the maker. May be a google policy, so to minimize losses to the maker this strategy is adopted
