Google has released a new version of Wallet , which now supports all credit and debit cards .

The new cloud based version of Google Wallet supports all credit and debit cards from Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. It can be used to store the card information and used to shop in-store on online with Google Wallet . One can also disable his mobile wallet app from Google Wallet account on the web .

To support all credit and debit cards , Google Wallet now uses a different approach -storing the card numbers on highly secure Google servers instead of phone . A wallet ID (virtual card number) is stored in the secure storage area of the phone, and this is used to facilitate transactions at the point of sale. Google instantly charges your selected credit or debit card.

I have heard people say that any credit card rewards/points/cash back might not be active if you make purchases through Google Wallet. Keep that in mind when you decide to use this.
