If it was originally at the 6.10 FW.. Strictly no.
If it was below 4.03 and then upgraded, then still a possibility.

I have 5.00 m33-6 installed on my psp 2000, and I tried changing the clock speed and UMS ISO mode. But I still keep getting the 80020148 error. Can someone please help?

Is it true that newer games will not work with 5.00 m33-6 cfw? That should explain why new games give the 80020148 error while the old ones work. Should I move on to GEN ?

never mind.. I upgraded to 5.50 gen-d3 and the games work well now.

Mods : I am not sure if this is the right sub-form for PSP tech help. If this is not, pl move
my post to correct forum.
I have a PSP slim & I want to change the Left & Right Keypad. I have already sourced
the keypad membranes but am unable to find any guide to change the keypad
membranes.
You tube & google only talks of opening the PSP but none on any servicing.
So if anyone can guide me on this topic with process & pictures or a video.. it will be
great learning exp for me.

Softmodding anyday unless you dont want to mess around with the hardware. I was trying to covert my psp phats battery into a pandora one. That battery ended up in smokes and it got bloated up because of heat. I used the knife is a wrong way.
though i was trying very hard to not ruin the battery.
