Ummm...wasn't too sure where to post this thread...so posting here
Anyway, here goes:
I recently gifted my Dad a laptop for his birthday...Now my Dad & Mom are complete beginners to Computers and I tried to do whatever I could to teach the basics in the rather limited time-duration I spent at home (1 week) which as expected wasn't really enough....BTW they are docs who usually (exceptions like medpal not withstanding) not very comfy with tech-stuff
In fact this very morning, I had to spend 30 mins on a long-distance call to provide step-by-step directions on transferring images from a digicam to the comp and compressing and mailing them...
So today, I went around looking for a simple and esasy to understand book that explains the basics of windows XP and the Internet, but couldn;t find anything good (either thick fat books that would turn Dad off, or very very basic and oversimplified)
Anyway, I will keep my bookhunt on over the weeknd , any suggestions?
Also is anyone here aware of any good web based tutorial/pdf's that I can download and mail across to my parents?
