All OS How to survive a phone explosion ?

Getting nightmares these days of my phone exploding and scarring my face. What are the tell tale signs before it explodes like battery getting fatter etc. ? How big is the explosion as i heard even cars destroyed with iphones/notes so any videos ? What to do to extinguish it incase it explodes away from you ? I know using original charger and battery is one thing to be safe.

Sometimes I fell much safer when taking frequent calls with a bluetooth ear piece atleast the phone is away ! I wish they start taking some safety measures to ensure it doesnt cause harm in case of explosion.
