I recently moved from bsnl to railwire 2 mbps unlimited plan.Everything about the connection is great. Is there any way i can use my old Dlink 2730-u along with the fibre connection modem to get wifi?

If not what will be the cheapest way to get wifi now?

I read some time ago about how you can use Dlink 2730U to make it work with PPoE type ISPs. Whats the hardware revision number exactly?
Check here, it may help. Basically, you make one of your LAN ports into a WAN port where you will connect the ISP's RJ45. This port will be used for PPoE negotiation etc.

The 2750u is actually capable of both adsl and Ethernet WAN routing. However the Indian firmware only enables the adsl WAN. So one needs to use the Middle East (ME) or Russian (NRU) firmware to enable the Ethernet WAN function (with the ME/Russian firmware one can use adsl, ethernet or 3g WAN).
Good work :)
