Hi,
My 1 year old HP Envy 4 Touchsmart ultrabook(Windows 8) bought from USA seems to have developed keyboard issues from past week. Keyboard, I tried to press all keys, symbols like =,- are working. digit keys like "2" appears after a delay on the password form. almost no other keys working. some keys are identified differently. for e.g. if I press "m" it is identified as "ENTER/RETURN" key. I cannot login now. Even if I login, open onscreen keyboard-press any Key, it is also not working!

I tried to do a Windows restore while this problem was not frequent. but, Windows restoration to previous date also not resolving this issue. this is a backlit keyboard. What should I do? I showed to a Computer shop here and he is saying he has already 5-6 customers with the same complaint(ultrabook) keyboard malfunctioning. replacing keyboard also after few days failed again. Shop guy was saying high humidity of our place(near Kochin, Kerala) which is 30kms east of Coast may be the reason apart from monsoon rain.

Do Guide whether this is a genuine keyboard h/w problem or Windows 8 driver problem or some cables etc got disconnected inside?
UPDATE: managed to login somehow, and checked typing keys in notepad, keys are malfunctioning. :(
