CPU/Mobo i5 6th generation problem

i am told by a dealer that on i5 6th generation windows 7 cannot be installed out of the box , some tweaking needed

is it a fact ?

which is the latest i5 which supports windows 7 installation without any tweaking , just out of the box?

i am told its i5 4460 , 4th generation .

please reply and help

From what I remember reading on this, Microsoft said they wouldn't be pushing out newer Windows 7 and 8/8.1 updates to PC's on Skylake because of compatibility issues that might arise. There was nothing mentioned about Skylake not being able to install Windows 7.

Skylake can easily take Win 7, but with all service packs. But future support won't be available.

Windows 7 is compatible with skylake except some features won't work mainly usb ...you have to use generic drivers
