True.. mate a Athlon II 635 with a 785G board, 2 GB's of DDR3 and you'll have a pretty decent system in your budget...

The 22" Samsung if you want my opinion.. Specs on paper apart, the colors on the SAmdung are much warmer as compared to Benq or AOC for that matter...

btw...can u give me a comparison (technical as well as in terms of money) between quad core,i3 and i5....i am told by my computer guy that quad core is much better than i3...is it true?

You have a 30k budget right for a entry level gaming PC, right? This would make a decent gaming PC for you in your budget.
A dual core proccy, AM2+ board, 4GB RAM. Opt for a 400w FSP as it gives a bit more headroom for upgrades. For gaming first get best GPU in your budget and then the CPU and the rest which complements it.

If you had extended your budget then go for i-3 530.
 
if you are going for a quad core amd CPU you might want to consider phenom II X2 555 BE. members on TE have succesfully unlocked it to a quad core. so in all terms you will have a 8k+ processor at price of 5K.

i don't want to go for an AMD .....and even if i do buy the config u'vve mentioned...would an i3 be comparable to it..??

plus...u mean to say i3 is cheaper than quad core..!! if it is, then why should i increase my budget to get an i3.? i already was buying a quad core...

If you opt for i3-530/H55 rig you will end up overshooting 30,000 by atleast 6,000 rs...

an i3 rig can be made only if you extend the budget to up to 40,000.. What Darkangel has said is correct, at you budget the rig he suggests makes the most vfm if Gaming is your aim...

or else go for the E7500/G41 combo....
 
Just curious. How do u intend to fit a Core i-3 530 + Intel H-55 ~ 11-11.5k (combo price) in your budget. Also 2GB DDR3 RAM costs 2.7k min. in most places.

Edit: Just noticed you have mentioned 3D Animation Developement as one of your requirements.
Just replace the processor to AMD AthlonII X4 630(4 cores, 2.8GHz) ~ 5k and you are all set to go. But if you are an ultimate fan boi hell bent on Intel then choose accordingly.

well, gaming is NOT my aim....the main aim is ONLY 3D animation development...(modeling/rigging/animating)...and movies,music and MAYBE gaming....that's how the priority goes...

LOL....sorry mate.! But that 9th point was just to know what options i have in AMD as well...and regarding my not so keen interest in AMD, it's basically because i've spoken to the guy who would do the assembling regarding the AMD's and he said "i've stopped looking into AMD's, I am sick of them now, we don't live in USA where the computer is always placed in an A/C'ned room." What i assume he meant was AMD's get heated badly...and as i don't have an A/C in my room...i doubt:ashamed:

May be before 3-4yrs. Present day AMD CPU's are cooler.
The quad core LGA-775 combo is cheaper because of chepaer mobo.

Go for G41 or G31/ Q9300 or Q9400 combo... i3 is anyways out, because i3 requires DDR3, which is going to be 1,500 costlier if you buy 2 * 2 GB... plus 11,000 to 12,000 for the basic H55/i3 530...

Period....
