Its due to carrier aggregation.
5/5t supports 3 carrier aggregation.
Ohk.. The damn phone's SD 835 is overclocked. It is the true king of performance in all androids! I had no clue about this feature you mentioned.

EDIT: I think I am wrong about the overclock thingy.

Overclocking the processor doesnt do anything to carrier aggregation. Its function of antenna and modem.

Next iteration is gigabit lte. Those devices are hitting 600-700 mbps speed in t mobile and sprint tests in usa.

With that speeds cloud apps and storage will work wonders. No need of offline/ localized data.
