Wondering why there's still an embargo on detailed benchmarks being released by the tech media
The official NDA lift date is 19th.[DOUBLEPOST=1523769296][/DOUBLEPOST]

No Ryzen 3 or 4 core CPUs afaik. Ryzen 3 would be represented by raven ridge.

Pinnacle ridge will be 6/8 core only.

Will be interesting to see the comparisons. Especially the 2700X given the stock spec.

Can't wait for team blue to throw down the CL refresh to see if the 8 core mainstream chip can deliver to the hype

I'm in the market for an upgrade and this is going to be driving me nuts

I wonder if or when they will discontinue the original 1XXX series. I expect only a marginal difference between the two generations.
Also unless you already have the RAM/GPU I don't think it's really a good time to upgrade. I have a conflicted self-opinion here. To get a Ryzen or Intel's 8th i5. This Ryzen 2XXX only brings in more confusion lol.

First gen ryzen will be phased out and there is stock clearance going on. Grab one now if you want one for cheap.

Have my 32GB kit & 1080 A8G lying ready. Got rid of the 6600k/z170.

Was looking forward to see where the 2700X lines up. Eyeing the 8700K as standby unless Intel launch the refresh soon. Hopefully with the Spectre & Meltdown bugs fixed. The 8700K penchant for running hot too is a bit of a downer

2700x is really overpriced in India. The difference between the 2700 and 2700x abroad is 30$. In India, it is 5000. Greedy distributors!

Yeah. And 2700x launch price of $329 is much cheaper than 1700x price of $399, but in India, launch price for both is same @ 30k

Damn those pricing. First it was the RX cards and now this. Well I don't expect people to make such a huge fuss over this as they might already have the Ryzen first gen and/or simply not interested as they can still get the first gen Ryzen.

Don't think a GO even might help negotiate a lower rate. Dealers and retailers are not likely to compromise margins on new releases especially the top of the line chips.

Wonder what the international prices are
