Leaked AMD Radeon 6970 results have surfaced, in a nut shell it seems the 6970 (as it stands now in early days yet, without proper drivers and a proper release) that it will be at least 10% faster than the NVIDIA GeForce GTX480.

What's being said, is the HD 6970 is scoring X12000 in 3D Mark Vantage, with a P score of P24499.

Unigine Heaven results (1920 x 1200, 4xAA, 16xAF) giving a result of 36.6 fps.

Comparatively

- a HD5870 scores P19337 in 3D Mark Vantage, and 17.3 fps in Heaven
- a GTX480 scores P21106 in 3D Mark Vantage, and 29.5 fps in Heaven

Core speeds seem to be at around 800 - 900MHz, 6 + 8pin power requirements and an estimated TDP of 255W or more.

Cant say much except that nothing there seems unrealistic , if its only 10% or so faster than a 480 thats not impressive but it will sway users towards them over a 480 because of lower power requirements.
 
Now the question for me is 2 x HD6870 vs HD6970. I guess HD6970 is not going to cost less than 23~24k and will only be a bit faster than GTX 480. You can get 2 x HD6870 for a bit more and they will trounce a single HD6970/GTX480. Unless HD6970 is very attractive in terms of power consumption, 2 x HD6850/HD6870 would make more sense.

I was wondering the same. He has been using this panel with the PS3 and X360 as well.

^^ I am planning for a overhaul soon (around Dec/Jan). :ashamed: Currently I am pushing 70% of my monthly earning towards payment for a plot we booked in Hyderabad, so I do not have much left for anything else.
