ok so after long wait, i bought Lenovo V130 15IKB laptop with core i3 8th Gen from snapdeal for 23k

however how do i know if it has m.2 slot or not, and which ram i can upgrade to without opening the back cover,

i have 810HNA03JIH model , however there is no such information available on any of the site, i contacted the seller but no reply.

laptop is working fine however i want to install m.2 SSD and additional RAM

Is there any utility i can use, or opening the cover is the only option

Did you buy it blindly without looking at the specs? Is there no documentation or manual with the laptop? Link to the sale listing?

ok so i opened the laptop and it has one RAM slot, empty and something just like M.2 Slot, but nothing written anywhere,

please have a look at the photos

Yes, it has both M.2 slot and SATA Slot as well. So you can put either NVME or SATA III drives in them.
My best bet is Intel 1TB 660p NVME or Crucial MX500 1TB SATA III drive which ever is cheaper & faster as well.

Thanks brother I am tight on budget and Nvme are costly.

But my question is

Can I use any m.2 sad and just attach it in slot and install windows on it.. or only NVME SSD require.

Also can I keep the HDD intact and use both SSD and HDD at same time..

Sorry bro.. I have seen many times only specific SSD work on some laptops and if you add any extra drive other stops working..

Please help here...

However I have seen the bios and it has Nvme boot option..

My plan is to use m.2 for windows and HDD for data

I want to use cheap Ram and SSD. Please suggest..

And why on earth Lenovo not advertise M.2 slot available In This laptop... And why they not writing the slot name on motherboard..

If you know the speed of ddr4 ram that is soldered on the board, buy similar 8GB laptop ram from Amazon.

Download hardware info if you don't know it's speed.

8GB laptop ram is like 2.8k for Crucial

That slot looks like nvme slot. So lowest priced nvme I found in a few minutes was this WD one

Western Digital WD Blue NVME SN550 250GB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3 Internal Solid State Drive (WDS250G2B0C)
