Budget 71-90K Looking for suggestions to build photo editing system

This is my first post. Firstly, thank you in advance for reading it and giving advice. I have no clue who else to ask for such things.


  1. What is your budget?
    • 70-80k (flexible)
  2. What is your existing hardware configuration (component name - component brand and model)
    • I currently use a Sony Vaio SVS15116GNB from the last 3 years (belongs to my office)
    • Wacom CTH-490/B1-CX Small Pen and Touch Tablet
  3. Which hardware will you be keeping (component name - component brand and model)
    • Wacom CTH-490/B1-CX Small Pen and Touch Tablet
  4. Which hardware component are you looking to buy (component name). If you have already decided on a configuration then please mention the (component brand and model) as well, this will help us in fine tuning your requirement.
    • I wanted to be sure I get the best UHD IPS matte monitor available (Colour Calibration has been my biggest nemesis. I have considered buying a Macbook Pro several times just for escape this, but that seemed unlikely for several reasons). I’m not looking for 4k
  5. Is this going to be your final configuration or you would be adding/upgrading a component in near future. If yes then please mention when and which component
    • Yes, will upgrade when necessary
  6. Where will you buy this hardware? (Online/City/TE Dealer)
    • I’m open to suggestions and all three options. (I live in Hyderabad)
  7. Would you consider buying a second hand hardware from the TE market
    • Yes
  8. What is your intended use for this PC/hardware
    • Heavy Photo editing on both Photoshop and Lightroom
    • Watching video or listening to audio content
    • Browsing web
  9. Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them and the reason for your preference/dislike.
    • I would like to lay off anything with Mac OS. I have grown up using, tweaking, repairing and recycling windows system and I feel lost with Mac OS.
  10. If you will be playing games then which type of games will you be playing?
    • I won’t be playing games on it
  11. What is your preferred monitor resolution for gaming and normal usage

    1. Gaming(editing) – 1920x1080 (min)
    2. Desktop - 1920x1080
  12. Are you looking to overclock?
    • No

  13. Which operating system do you intend to use with this configuration?
    • Windows 10 64-bit
I would additionally be looking to buy a smaller laptop to carry and work apart from this.

Thank you mate. Will check them out. Though I think I have a different monitor in mind which bumps this by about 12k :) Thanks a lot.

I also think I'd need to add an SSD right?
