From your existing stock you should hold on to these items:
Ram
Monitor
Psu
Sound card
Case is also solid as I got similar ones but dont know how good or bad is your case condition (its bulky as well)
Keep both SSDs
Keep this Spinpoint 1tb Hdd unless too old.

Now what you are left to upgrade is only:
Cpu, Mobo, some additional ram & gpu.
Monitor only if you plan for 4k.
Case if you want lightweight and mid atx.

Well I meant, what is/are reason(s) to upgrade ? Is it more gaming performance needed ? Something more resource-heavy work being introduced ?
Just wanted to keep up with the market standard for a guy who uses system for movie experience or play game once in a year like first person shooter genre. Hope you get my point

For movies & other basic tasks, your existing configuration is fine. the only constraint would be the first person shooters so i'd suggest a gpu upgrade (like a 1060 or better).

Got it. In that case may be get your GPU upgraded first. Your CPU + Mobo and may be RAM can be upgraded in future. IIRC, vedantcomputers had Sapphire RX580 4GB for 14K. You can start from here.
