Laptops Lost powercord of adapter can I use powercord of old laptop?

Hi,

I bought new HP laptop few days back. Unfortunately I lost power cord of adapter on Sunday. I have adapter but lost powercord. I have spare powercord of my old Acer laptop which fits to new HP adapter. I just want to know if I use powercord of acer laptop on adapter of HP laptop, will that create any problem? Or should I buy original HP powercord which is a bit expensive.

Note that I have original adapter of new HP laptop. I only lost powercord to adapter.

Yes. If it fits power brick, then by all means use it
